And also the second week of races is gone. I got another good week end and I’m very happy about my skating. Just one regret: no italian record on 500m, but satisfied about a 37″ race. Also 1500m with a new italian record was nice and even almost fun (I never think a 1500m can be fun because of leg-pain). 1000m closed the week; I got 3rd because of only 1hundred behind my pairmate Nesbitt, but was my 3rd time ever. Now I’m on 2nd place overall on 1000 and 3rd on 1500 and hopefully I will keep my positions through the season.

Days go by and another World Cup week end has almost arrived. Tomorrow it’s time to skate a 500m. It’s a “easy day” and a kind of warm up for the rest of the races. I’m spending my time reading and watching moovies a lot, this is how skaters spend their time! Some easy bike, some physioterapy and Friday will be here!

Good bye Salt Lake and welcome Calgary. After racing a lot on my favourite ice, I arrived in Calgary.

The week end has been very good. I got 3 personal best that are also national record (1000-1500-3000) and 2 medals. It was sincerly a surprise to be so fast and it was super fun to skate 1000 on Sunday. Paired with canadian Nesbitt has been a perfect race that allowed me to skate the second fastest time ever. Nice.

I got also the idea to try to skate 3000m and even if it wasn’t such a fun because there’s too many laps to skate, it was a very nice flat race at the end and I’m happy I decided to skate it. I don’t think I will skate this distance one more time… sprinting is much better!!

1500 was a very good race too. It came so easily that was almost perfect I think. Even my last lap was very good and it was unexpectided to reach the podium.

This evening I arrived in Calgary where Friday is time to race again; I hope ice will be as fast as it was in Salt Lake because I really really love fast ice!
